Required Training and Other Guidance for the CU Marketplace

The CU Marketplace Is Here!

As previously shared, the CU Marketplace provides users with a modern procurement experience. Through the CU Marketplace, users can shop from a range of enabled suppliers, create a requisition, acquire necessary approvals, issue a purchase order to the vendor, and have invoices auto-created and paid.

Training and Guidance

This will depend on what you will be doing in the CU Marketplace: shopping only, shopping and requesting, or approving. See the summary table below followed by more specific details.

Current Requisition Initiators and Requisition Approvers who do not have the Requestor or Approver roles in the CU Marketplace must reapply for these roles via an FSSA in ServiceNow and retake the required training. 

If you apply for the Requisition Initiator Role or the Department Requisition Approver Role you will be assigned the appropriate training.

If you are using the Chrome browser and are not able to access the CU Marketplace vendor websites, review the CU Marketplace section in the Administrative Applications Browsers and Settings webpage for guidance on how to update your browser settings to enable access to the vendor websites.

You will need to complete the Financial Systems Security Application (FSSA) to request the Requisition Initator role and/or the Department Requisition Approver role. You can request access for yourself or others. Refer to the Apply for Access to Finance Systems web page for guidance.

Note: You can apply for botth the Requisition Initiator and a Level 1 ($0 - $1,000) Department Requisition Approver roles so you do not need departmental approval for purchases of $1,000 or less if your purchase is being shipped to a campus address.
