Endowment and Gift Administration and Compliance serves as the centralized resource for the administration and compliance of endowment and gift funds. Endowments and gifts provide Columbia with sources of funding to support professorships, financial aid, research, capital projects, schools, departments, institutes, centers, and more. These funds are given to Columbia by our donors and must be spent in accordance with their terms and restrictions.

The Columbia Investment Management Company (IMC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Columbia University. The IMC is charged with managing the bulk of the University's endowments, also known as managed assets.
