About Sponsored Projects Finance

Sponsored Projects Finance (SPF), part of the Office of the Controller, is the University’s central office responsible for managing key elements in the post-award financial administration of sponsored projects, including financial reporting and invoicing, receivables management, fiscal closeout, and other activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Specific administrative functions that SPF is responsible for include:

  • Preparation and submission of financial reports
  • Preparation and submission of invoices
  • Review and reporting of cost sharing and cost transfers
  • Receivables management and the cash application process
  • Final reconciliation and closeout of terminated projects
