Learn About Integrating Systems Reports

Learn about Integrating Systems Reports at Columbia University.

Details

As of July 2012, many older financial systems were replaced by ARC. However, the People@Columbia (PAC) and FinSys/Financial Front End (FFE) systems used prior to 2012 remain available and can be accessed from PAC.

Since the transactional data generated from these modules feed into the ARC General Ledger, reporting for these modules is mainly conducted in the Financial Data Store (FDS) reports.

In order to access reports, you will need to have access to our Finance Systems. Visit Required Trainings by Role for information about gaining access and the required trainings.

PAC

PAC is the customized version of PeopleSoft that integrates and processes all Human Resources and Payroll transactions for Columbia University. Functions within PAC include:

  • View Employee Information
  • Initiate new hire and rehire transactions electronically
  • E-Termination
  • Labor Accounting

Although PAC does not have an actual reporting function, users with PAC and payroll accounting (PAD) access can find salary information in the Data Warehouse by going to the mycColumbia / DWR Reports tab. Users can also find PAC derived payroll and employee reports in the Payroll Reports section of FDS.

FinSys/FFE

FinSys/FFE is comprised of modules that facilitate certain types of transactions and some limited reporting. FinSys is a web application accessed from the myColumbia portal that houses the budget tool, cash module, and the time entry modules (support, casual, and union staff).
