Finance Communications

The Finance Communications team identifies and leads the implementation of communication and content strategies that support the operating goals of each department of the Finance Division, as well as the goals of the Division as a whole. Our work includes:

  • Developing and implementing communication plans that support efforts to maximize the adoption by various University stakeholders of changes in business processes, systems and technology, job roles, and/or organizational structures
  • Overseeing financial system and closing (monthly and year-end) communications to the University community
  • Planning, implementing, and maintaining the content management systems associated with the Division
  • Partnering with Finance departments to develop and implement training and learning initiatives that build their capacity to address basic content management needs
  • Partnering with Columbia University Information Technology in overseeing the optimal performance and security of Finance websites
  • Staying well-informed of innovations in technologies, trends, and best-in-class digital/interactive practices, and when appropriate, champion their use in support of the Division
