Changing your Password
Every three months, for security reasons, you will be prompted to change your password. If you have passwords to more than one University system i.e., to Central 1, we recommend that you change them all to the same word, making it simpler to log on.

When you double click on the CAR Production icon, the first window displayed is the logon window. Enter your User ID. Then hit the <Tab> key to move the cursor to the Password field and enter your current password.

Click Change Password.

Enter your new password. Then hit the <Tab> key to move the cursor to the Confirm New Password field, and enter your new password again.

Click Logon.

To ensure that the changes have been made, check the Columbia Applications window to display an on-going log of activity.

If you get the message LOG IN FAILED when logging on, contact the Help Desk at 854-1919.
