The former Columbia Innovation Enterprise (CIE-Finance) is now part of Columbia's Science & Technology Ventures (S&TV). S&TV is the marketing arm of Columbia University’s technology transfer area. In addition to the marketing and licensing of intellectual property, it serves as the major interface with industry, developing sponsored research contracts and special relationships.
S&TV is also responsible for the collection and disbursement of license income resulting from the majority of S&TV-negotiated agreements and provides related financial analyses and budget projections, as well as manages various University initiative funds and reserves whose source is license income derived from intellectual property.
